Have you ever wanted to play a musical instrument?

It is never too late to learn!

Cleveland School of Music offer tuition for all ages from 4 to 104!

Playing a musical instrument helps to:

  • Build confidence
  • Develop motor skills
  • Improve co-ordination
  • Develop social skills

Music enriches the lives of the young and old alike.

If you are interested in learning a musical instrument, whether as an absolute beginner or someone wishing to improve their skills, want to gain academic qualifications or play for pleasure, Cleveland School of Music can help find a suitable teacher for your requirements.

All teachers listed on our directory are carefully selected, self-employed,  have CRB Enhanced Level Disclosure and their own Public Liability Insurance. We adopt a personal approach liaising with student and teacher. Many directories, registries or tutor agencies only offer a list.

CSM will arrange for a teacher to contact you directly to arrange a mutually convenient lesson time, discuss fees, terms etc. Lessons are generally given at the teacher’s home studio on a one to one basis although some do offer a home visit service.

Group tuition is available for certain instruments and music theory.

We can also offer short courses of tuition for students requiring additional aural training for exams or music theory.
It’s worth bearing in mind that Grades 6, 7 and 8 in both practical and theory now attract points under the UCAS Tariff for students applying to university.
